Stayed up last night. Finished all but 1hr of "Make Change" at 2x.
Woke up today around 8 or 9. Checked out of airbnb. Went to coffee shop. Finished Make Change by Shaun King. Awkward in Minneapolis coffee shop... my relationship with Black people as I do this work.. bound 20 to 22 zines at fedex. I feel like the river separates the towns... twin cities. Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
Went to the GF Square. Set zines on bench. Added a Justice for George Floyd sticker to my glass and 20 dollars. Felt awkward. Somber day. Chilled in my car next to Say Their Names Graveyard. Watched Daunte Wright’s funeral online. Al Sharpton and Crump? Paid for it. White lady at end and lots of people giving speeches. Paid for it then used it for political theater. Al Sharpton quoted Isaiah and gave a history on the chant no Justice, no peace. Called Daunte Wright a Prince and struck a chord with me. AG of the state was there. Governor gave a proclamation and said they called for 2 minutes of silence at noon on the day, but it was already past.
Drove to Sears for Miss Nekima's operation pull up march. After going to white castle and getting sliders... Black workers and good, but not healthy food. We went back to Pete Orbit's house. Pete almost immediately came out to talk in a very energetic state. Nekima had been calling for a solemn energy and Pete's energy seemed to change it. Pete was closing space and gesturing aggressively, stifly with his hands. An older white man with a silver on green encrested marine hoodie and khakis. He showed up so early channel 5 didn't catch him, but one of the streamers did.
Channel 5 had to follow us.
A guy yelled at the news crew to get of a neighbors lawn and called the group homophobic slurs while wearing a skull shirt a la punisher and greyed out american flag bandana.

Placed red solo cups and flowers and tea lights. Did the cupid shuffle afterwards "For Daunte". Feels good to dance. One was melting. I placed flyer on hydrant facing Pete Orbits. So much energy in a flyer.
